Glenkens Community and Arts Trust has recently purchased six electric bikes for use of the community and visitors.
These bikes are all currently based in New Galloway at the CatStrand.
We are looking for a number of volunteers that would be able to happy to meet with customers wishing to take bikes out, ensure they have completed a registration form and demonstrate how to use the bikes.
Check out and check in bikes, checking bikes are fully charged when released and undamaged on return. Full training on how to maintain bikes will be given. Volunteers will also be given GC&AT volunteer induction and support. Any other training opportunities such as First Aid will also be offered to volunteers.
Volunteers would need to be based in New Galloway. Minimum age is 18.
Volunteers must be reliable, polite and friendly. Knowledge of E bikes would be an advantage but full training will be given. Being able to ride a bike is a must! Volunteers must be trustworthy as although payments will be mainly by credit card, there may be small amounts of cash handled.
The minimum commitment is two hours a week available weekends and weekdays, am and pm.
