Adult Carers Support Worker, Dumfries and Galloway Carers Centre – Friday April 2

The Carers Centres Project for Dumfries and Galloway Ltd provides information, advice and support to anyone who provides care for a family member or friend who is affected by long term illness, disability, age or addiction.

Could you join the team and make a real difference to the increasing number of unpaid Carers in Dumfries and Galloway.

Due to a recent change in circumstance and increasing demand on their service, they are seeking an Adult Carers Support Worker.

Details: Annandale and Eskdale (with some cover across the region); 35 hours per week – £22,369; 23 month contract (ongoing subject to funding); Contributory pension scheme.

The postholder will provide support to adult Carers primarily in Annandale and Eskdale, as well as other areas of the region.

The post will involve delivering one to one and group support as well as other health and wellbeing support to Carers

A knowledge of issues affecting Carers is essential, as is access to own car. An awareness of the workings of the third sector, health and social care services would be an advantage. A knowledge of digital applications is essential and experience of using virtual platforms would be an advantage. The post will include a blended approach of home and office working.
