Across Dumfries and Galloway, volunteers make a difference every single day supporting everything from small local organisations to large national charities.

Volunteers undertake a huge variety of tasks including befriending, fundraising, retail, organising events, working with young people, serving coffee and much more. You don’t need experience to be a volunteer, you just need to be able to give up some time to help others.

Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway recognises the value and contribution volunteers give to our region. Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway is here to support volunteers and volunteer involving organisations.

Our strategy

Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway’s volunteering strategy shows how we can help develop and support volunteering across the region whilst implementing outcomes from the Scottish Government’s Volunteering for All framework.

volunteerThe strategy was developed with the assistance of volunteers and volunteer involving organisations across the region and complimented by an action plan which is regularly reviewed by our Board.
