Based in Dumfries, this vacancy will require travel throughout Dumfries and Galloway.
This post is for 21 hours per week and will initailly be on an 18 month contract with the intention of becoming a permanent position, subject to funding.
Salary: £29,074 – £31,668 – (£17,444 – £19,000 pro-rata)
Scottish Drugs Forum is recruiting a Co-ordination and Development Officer to manage the day to day activity of their specialist employability scheme, the Addiction Worker Training Project. SDF have secured funding to extend the unique opportunities that AWTP provides, within the Dumfries and Galloway area.
The Co-ordination and Development Officer will offer intensive support to people with a history of drug and alcohol problems who are entering employment in social care.
This is an exciting position within a supportive team. The post will be instrumental in the delivery and development of this pilot activity which is an extension of an established, award-winning project that is currently available in the East and West of Scotland.
Candidates should have front line experience of working in social care, particularly in areas related to addiction and / or employability. Excellent communication skills and knowledge of partnership working are essential.
