The closing date to submit a project proposal to Dumfries and Galloway Council‘s £250,000 of Tackling Poverty funding is midnight this Friday, January 11.
It is available to help local people ‘make ends meet’ and tackle the causes and effects of child poverty.
Funding is available to local people, groups and organisations who want to stand up to poverty and do something positive in local communities. Grants from between £100 and £10,000 or up £20,000, in certain circumstances, are available.
Once you have submitted your proposal, the public will decide at Voting Events which projects they wish to see delivered within their communities.
If you would like any further information on the application process, contact PBMailbox@dumgal.gov.uk or Colin Freeman, Community Empowerment Manager (PB) on 030 33 33 3000.
