Our latest round of roadshows will begin on Tuesday as we welcome national enterprise experts for free workshops.
First stop on the 14th is Locharbriggs Community Centre and joining us will be Firstport – Scotland’s development agency for start-up social entrepreneurs and social enterprise.
They will be involved in a free morning Introduction to Enterprise workshop hosted by Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway, with input also from Social Investment Scotland. You might still be able to book tickets at: https://bit.ly/2VtH1TW
In the afternoon, from 1.30pm to 4.30pm, you can drop in to the centre where we will also be joined by Dumfries and Galloway Council’s Community Resilience Team; the local authority’s Self Directed Support, Development Officer; Complete Training Solutions from Dumfries and Galloway College; and representatives from the NHS Endowment Fund.

Our next stop this month is Glenluce on Tuesday May 21 where at Luce Valley Church Hall we are again hosting a free Introduction to Enterprise workshop with Firstport and Social Investment Scotland. To book tickets to this free event go to: https://bit.ly/2vOhOV8
In the afternoon, from 1.30pm to 4.30pm, you can again drop in to meet the representatives of Firstport, as well as Care and Repair Dumfries and Galloway. This service is managed by Loreburn Housing Association to deliver mandatory grant supported adaptions to home owners and private tenants on behalf of Dumfries and Galloway Council’s Scheme of Assistance. The local authority’s Self Directed Support Development Officer will also be on hand to answer questions as will our own staff on issues ranging from funding through to creating a charity.
