JOB: Kitchen/Volunteer Coordinator, Kate’s Kitchen – Friday February 28

A kitchen/volunteer coordinator is sought for charity Kate’s Kitchen in Annan.

Job Description

20 Hours per week, Tuesday – Friday

• Lead, instruct and facilitate volunteers in kitchen and café area
• Recruit and develop new and existing volunteers
• Provide training, support and supervision for all volunteers
• Lead and facilitate our weekly Healthy Eating Group
• In collaboration with manager monitor stock take and stock rotation
• In collaboration with other staff maintain foodbank store
• In collaboration with other staff undertake Fareshare collections
• Record all relevant data on database maintaining data protection legislation
• To effectively manage your own allocated workload
• To contribute and work as part of a team
• To participate fully in staff meetings and training
• Responsibility for all kitchen health and safety
• Comply with all health and safety legislation and organisational policies
• Encourage service users to use Kate’s Kitchen services to improve confidence

Essential Criteria
Health & Hygiene Level II qualification
Experience of working with volunteers
Excellent verbal communication skills
Experience of database
Driving License Holder
Sense of Humour

Desirable Criteria
An understanding of how this role supports our charitable purposes
Experience of working in a Third Sector organisation
Health & Hygiene Level III qualification
