Development Officer – Nithsdale
Part Time (28 hrs)
Salary £24,814 (FTE) plus pension and travel costs
Contract Funded initially for 12 months
Food Train is an award winning voluntary organisation, providing practical support services to older people across Scotland, helping them to eat well, live well and age well.
The Dumfries and Galloway branch currently offers four services to older people: grocery shopping, home support, befriending and the innovative Meal Makers neighbourhood meal sharing project. They are seeking an outstanding individual to help develop these services in the Nithsdale locality.
They are looking for a suitably experienced and enthusiastic individual committed to the voluntary sector and older people’s services. Applicants will have excellent communication skills, be familiar with using social media for promotional purposes and a sound understanding of volunteer management and service delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience of successful people based project development and partnership working in the voluntary sector. Someone who can show flexibility to support the Charity needs at this time is essential.
