Dumfries church opens its doors on Christmas Day

The River of Life Church at Dumfries Railway Station is opening its doors this Christmas for those who may be alone or others in need.

Firstly, on Christmas Eve at 6pm, they will have masses of food from the local Aldi stores for people to come and take for themselves, friends, relatives and neighbours, who find Christmas difficult.

They run a facility every week night through the year, but the Christmas eve distribution is much larger and includes meat and perishable products, which need to be used as soon as possible.

On Christmas Day, they warmly invite anyone who would be on their own, to enjoy a slap-up dinner and presents etc. Individuals and couples or families who might benefit from this are all very welcome.

It is open to everyone whether or not they have a Christian faith.

If anyone would like more information they can contact Pastor Mark Smith on 01387 830229. The church is also welcoming offers of voluntary help.
