Social enterprises that use government enterprise support services or funding are wanted to take part in a discovery workshop in Dumfries next week.
From April 1 next year, a new statutory body known as the South of Scotland Enterprise Agency will begin its formal operation with the aim of addressing the economic challenges of the area and driving inclusive growth.
The initial high level aims for the new Agency are:
- to drive the economy forward with growth that creates opportunities for all, where the benefits of the increased prosperity are shared
- to sustain and grow communities so that people thrive in the places where they live and work
- to capitalise on the people and resources of the South, developing skills and making the most of assets to address exclusion and assist growth
The Scottish Government team responsible for establishing the South of Scotland Enterprise Agency is holding a discovery workshop in Dumfries on Tuesday at The Bridge from 4pm-5.30pm, focused on the needs of a corporate website for the new agency.
The team is looking for some prospective/new/existing customers from the South of Scotland who may be open to participate in these discovery workshops:
Social Entrepreneurs and existing social enterprises located in the South of Scotland are invited to attend the workshop to provide their views on how the new South of Scotland Enterprise Agency should engage with its users.
If you wish to attend, or would like further information, please contact email@example.com or telephone 0141 222 8030.
