Dumfries and Galloway Citizens Advice Service (DAGCAS) provides free confidential advice and assistance to the public.
Since social distancing measures were introduced, DAGCAS has paused their face to face service and have moved the majority of volunteers and staff to home working, with a dedicated unit based in Dumfries.
Over lockdown, between March 23 and May 22, DAGCAS had 2288 clients who enquired about 4771 areas of advice. But they can STILL help more people.
Advisers are trained to help with a wide-range of issues. Since the COVID-19 outbreak the majority of issues have related to Universal Credit and other Benefits, Employment, Debt, Legal, Finance and Charitable Support.
Dumfries and Galloway Citizens Advice Service urges anyone who needs or knows someone who needs, support, advice and guidance to contact them by:
Telephone: 0300 303 4321
DAGCAS gives people the knowledge and the confidence to find a way forward that suits them.
