Consultation on Human Trafficking and Exploitation (Scotland) Act 2015

The Scottish Government is of the view that the period of support should remain at 45 days as is currently the case. It will be helpful to have views on whether stakeholders agree with this approach and if not, why not.

Once the consultation has closed we will analyse and take into account the responses. Regulations under section 9 of the Human Trafficking and Exploitation (Scotland) Act 2015 will be drafted and will be laid before Parliament, with a view to them coming into force in Spring 2017, subject to the will of Parliament.
