The Scottish Government are holding a consultation to test whether existing Statutory Guidance on Children’s Services Planning is still relevant, helpful and fit for purpose. The government will use the results of this work to adapt, change or improve the guidance, if neccessary.
When the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014 was published it set out reforms to the way services for children and young people were designed, delivered and reviewed. Part of the Act includes statutory guidance on Part 3, Children’s Services Planning. This placed duties on Local Authorities and Health Boards who were under this part of the Act to include provision of a “Children’s Services Plan.”
The consultation opened on Monday March 25 and is set to close on Monday June 17
