Community support in Dumfries and Galloway during COVID-19

Additional support is being offered by Dumfries and Galloway Council to organisations during the Coronavirus, working in partnership with Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway:

COMMUNITY GROUPS OFFERING SUPPORT/ASSISTANCE

They are in the process of setting up a new system to record specific ‘Offers of Support/Assistance’ from Groups and Organisations.

It is hoped to use this form to populate an interactive map being designed that will pinpoint support activities and allow people to search for help in a specific postcode location – if your group or organisation is helping during this crisis, advertise the support you offer in your community here: OFFER OF ASSISTANCE FORM

COMMUNITY GROUPS ASKING FOR HELP

If your community group or organisation needs help – more volunteers, drivers, printing, supplies – then you can ‘advertise’ for help by completing this form REQUEST FOR HELP FORM

Please also remember that Third Sector are collating information and offers of help from Individuals:

INDIVIDUALS WANTING TO VOLUNTEER

Community spirit cannot be underestimated as we respond to the emerging situation. Now, more than ever, this community spirit will be called upon to ensure that we can do as much as possible at a local level to help contain the spread of the virus but also to support the health and wellbeing of those most at risk.

Volunteer Dumfries and Galloway is working with third sector organisations across our region who are looking for volunteers during the Coronavirus crisis.
