Third sector represented as work begins on new Children’s Services Plan

Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway was around the table at the Children’s Services Executive Group for the first time yesterday to discuss the way forward for the region’s new Children’s Services Plan.

The Scottish Government’s Director for Children and Families Michael Chalmers and Chief Social Work Adviser Iona Colvin were at the Children’s Services Strategic Engagement meeting in Dumfries with fellow government representatives and officials from the local authority, NHS and other public services.

A commitment was given to work with Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway to represent the sector in the development of the new Children’s Services Plan.

The meeting was held in The Bridge on Glasgow Road.
