Dumfries and Galloway Community Justice Partnership are holding a free awareness session around the changes made to Disclosure of Convictions in Scotland by the Management of Offenders Act 2019.
The session will be run by Apex Scotland and take place on the Tuesday March 9 from 10am -12 via MS Teams.
It is estimated that these changes will remove over 200,000 minor or historic convictions from mainstream employment, going some way to help those individuals improve their chances of gaining employment.
This session aims to cover the main points of the changes and the implications that has for those seeking employment.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you wish to book a place by Friday February 26.
In order to ensure a multi-agency mix for the session places will be confirmed and the link sent out week commencing Monday March 1. Thanks to Apex, this session is being held for partners free of charge.
