Cattanach is an endowed charity and makes grants totalling around £450,000 a year.
Cattanach will fund only those charitable organisations which are registered in Scotland with the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator, and currently funds work only in Scotland. The trustees meets four times a year.
To receive funding, your organisation must be working with young children (under 3) and their parent/families, or with a parent/families expecting a baby. Families experiencing deprivation or in crisis will be given priority. “Deprivation” can mean low income, poor housing, unemployment, isolation, disability or health problems, lack of family support, young parenthood, contact with the justice system, substance abuse, violence etc.
