The Scottish Governance Code for the Third Sector – Consultation

Scotland’s Third Sector Governance Forum brings together a range of people with knowledge and expertise in governance issues. We are consulting on our new draft version of the Scottish Governance Code for the Third Sector (Code). It is designed to be read online alongside various resources documents, templates and guidance and used to have practical discussions around governance. The Code sets out the core principles and key elements of good governance for the boards of charities, voluntary organisations and social enterprises in Scotland and is for the boards and trustees of these different types of organisations. It is hoped that the Code reflects and celebrates the wealth of good practice that exists in our sector and provides a standard for all to aspire to.
