Cancer journey redesign programme to examine findings

A large-scale programme to improve the journey for people affected by cancer in Dumfries and Galloway will report on its findings later this year.

The Macmillan Cancer Pathways and Palliative Care Improvement Project has started to analyse everything that has been shared by the public and different organisations.

Big Cancer Conversation surveys received over 200 responses and between January and April they also attended 77 meetings and events to speak with almost 550 people across the region.

Over 47 Taking the time to talk, Palliative End of Life and Bereavement Care surveys were also completed.

A report summarising all the feedback and findings will be published later in the year and when complete will be posted at and
