A call out is encouraging volunteer involving organisations to get involved with Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway’s evening visit to Lockerbie next month
We are holding a volunteer recruitment marketplace at the Town Hall on Thursday July 11 and a free workshop will also be available to any organisations that wish to take part.
The workshop will help organisations at any stage in their development to: think about their processes around volunteering; get ready to involve volunteers in their organisation; and help support and develop existing volunteers.
It’s no secret that it is becoming increasingly difficult to attract not only volunteers but also new trustees. This workshop will guide your organisation through how to become one that people want to volunteer for
The workshop aims to help you:
- Understanding why people volunteer?
- Why recruit more volunteers?
- Reasons why people do not volunteer?
- How would you recruit new members?
- What can help to recruit a volunteer?
- Are there barriers?
- What do you do once you have recruited a new volunteer?
- Why celebrate your volunteer’s contribution
The workshop will run alongside our Volunteer Market Place, which is from 4pm-7pm
If you would like to take part in the Lockerbie volunteer marketplace or find out more about the workshop email firstname.lastname@example.org, call 0300 303 8558 or message our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/thirdsectorDG.
