Bright Sparks fund opens with DGU

DG Unlimited has opened an innovative new fund Bright Sparks.

The Dumfries and Galloway Chamber of the Arts believe artists and creative practitioners play a necessary and important role in contributing to the overall health, development, and well-being of society.

They challenge a view of the world and also bring beauty, excitement and joy to lives – inspiring and provoking in equal measures.

Bright Sparks is part of Creatives Unlimited, which is DG Unlimited’s one-year programme that aims to support creative practitioners to raise ambition, stimulate growth and help fulfil their potential.

Bright Sparks aims to enable artists to take creative risks in the pursuit of furthering their creative practice, as well as fund creative ideas that inspire people, fill people with energy and enthusiasm to experience the arts in Dumfries and Galloway.

They want to hear from established creative practitioners who have at least three years’ experience working as a professional artist and can demonstrate a good track record.

All applications must be submitted by midnight, Thursday November 14.
