A community day centre for older people is searching for a new board member.
The Riverside Centre at Newton Stewart wants enthusiastic people to make a difference to older people’s lives.
By joining their Board of Directors, you will help steer the charity and gain valuable experience in management and governance.
The Board is the governing body of Riverside Centre at Newton Stewart and Board members (typically numbering six to eight people from all walks of life) work as a team ensuring that the centre is run effectively and efficiently.
The Riverside Centre provides services for older people in Newton Stewart and the Machars area that enhance their quality and enjoyment of life by encouraging interaction, mental and physical activity and companionship, thus contributing to their health and wellbeing, maintaining their independence and providing respite for their family.
Your own experience and expertise will contribute to the board’s ability to provide the services needed to meet this aim.
