Community Councils are eligible to become Associate Members of Dumfries and Galloway Third Sector Interface. There is no membership fee. Associate Members have the right to attend Member's meetings, but do not have any powers under the Constitution and Rules (for example to elect Trustees of the Charity or to amend the Constitution of the Charity). A Copy of the Constitution and Rules can be downloaded here. Associate Members are entitled to member discounts on events, training and other services where a fee is payable.

In order to comply with our own rules, and so that we can better serve the needs of the sector we require supporting documentation from each organisation wishing to become a member. Please include the following with your application:

A copy of your Constitution or Memorandum and Articles of Association

A copy of your most recent financial statement

We aim to approve applications within 14 days from the date we receive your application. If for any reason there is likely to be a delay in approving your application we will contact you to explain why. Please note that the most common reason for delay is failure to submit all the information that we require.
