Anti poverty advisers and energy advisers available through service

Do you have clients who are potentially facing poverty due to the current pandemic?

If so, Dumfries and Galloway Citizens Advice Service has advisers throughout the region who are available to help.

Anti Poverty Advisers

These advisers will provide diagnostic advice and practical support to clients to maximise their household income.

They will undertake benefit checks for each client. Provide advice and practical support to clients to tackle fuel poverty, they will give advice on budgeting, understanding financial products and bank account options to help improve financial capability.

Energy Advisers

These advisers will assist to reduce fuel poverty.  They will provide assistance to find the lowest energy tariff, highlight options to improve household energy efficiency and assist with applications for products or grants to improve home energy efficiency.

They will provide advice and practical support to clients to tackle fuel poverty and assist clients to challenge fuel bills and where necessary negotiate repayments with the energy provider.
