£312,000 support for civic and community initiatives

Dumfries and Galloway Council’s local area committees have a £312,000 fund available to support key civic and community initiatives.

Earlier this month, all four area committees set local priorities, and are now seeking expressions of interest from local community partners to help deliver events, festivals, galas, sport and more.

Elaine Murray, Leader of Dumfries and Galloway Council said: “We’re delighted that this £312,000 is available to our area committees to support local priorities.”

Rob Davidson, Depute Leader of the council said, “This fund is a great way for our local communities to get involved, lead and deliver great community initiative.”

If your group is interested, you can submit an expression of interest form on the ‘funding from area committees’ page at www.dumgal.gov.uk/grants.
