16 Days of Action Against Gender Based Violence events planned

Awareness raising events will be held by Dumfries and Galloway Public Protection Partnership and the Violence Against Women and Girls Group in support of 16 Days of Action Against Gender Based Violence.

Around the world, over 1 billion women suffer physical or sexual violence. In 2017-18 there were over 44,000 domestic abuse incidents recorded by Police Scotland where a woman was abused by a man.

All the local events – starting on Monday November 25 – are free of charge and open to anyone over 16 years old, but booking is required for most of them.
